Forty passengers were evacuated from a Northwest Airlines jet Wednesday following a flight from Minneapolis.
A landing tower employee at the LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Municipal Airport spotted smoke near the wheels of Flight 428 and radio for the evacuation.
